Race Format: 12-Lap Heat (First of the Night)


The 2025 Tri-City Racing Series roared to life at Quesnel Goldpan Speedway, and #52 Garnett Grimard wasted no time stirring up excitement in the season’s very first heat race.


Grimard took the win in Heat 1B, kicking off the night with a strong 12-lap drive after posting the 7th fastest qualifying time at 15.904 seconds. But the race wasn’t without fireworks.

The 2025 Tri-City Racing Series season opener at Quesnel Goldpan Speedway may have started with weather delays, but by the end of Sunday’s action, one name stood above the rest — #27 Donny Kunka.


Kunka came into the weekend prepared and delivered a dominant performance, sweeping both Heat 2A and the 50-Lap Main Event. His pace was evident early on, posting the second fastest qualifying time of the night at 15.616 seconds.

Race Format: 12-Lap Heat (Third of the Night)


The action continued at Quesnel Goldpan Speedway as the 2025 Tri-City Racing Series rolled through its opening weekend. Following Saturday night’s rain delay, Sunday delivered clear skies, a dry surface, and intense racing as the field settled into the rhythm of a new season.


In Heat 2B, the fourth heat race of the night, longtime series veteran #9 Lyall McComber reminded everyone why he’s a name to watch. McComber stormed to the win in the 12-lap race, putting on a textbook drive from start to finish.


Backing up his performance, McComber also laid down the fastest qualifying time of the event at 15.579 seconds, proving he had both single-lap speed and race-day consistency.

The 2025 Tri-City Racing Series season officially got underway at Quesnel Goldpan Speedway, but not without a hiccup. Rain on opening night forced several races to be pushed to the following day, resulting in a smaller-than-expected crowd.


Despite the delay, the track was dry and race-ready for Sunday’s action, and the competition wasted no time making up for lost laps.


In Heat 1A, the second heat race of the night, #37 Arnie Kunka rose to the occasion. Starting from mid-pack, Kunka put together a clean, calculated drive to take the win in the 12-lap run. His qualifying time of 15.895 seconds was only the 6th fastest of the night, but his race pace told a different story.
