HEAT 1B RECAP – TRICITY RACING SERIES SEASON OPENER

Location: Quesnel Goldpan Speedway

Race Format: 12-Lap Heat (First of the Night)

The 2025 Tri-City Racing Series roared to life at Quesnel Goldpan Speedway, and #52 Garnett Grimard wasted no time stirring up excitement in the season’s very first heat race.

Grimard took the win in Heat 1B, kicking off the night with a strong 12-lap drive after posting the 7th fastest qualifying time at 15.904 seconds. But the race wasn’t without fireworks.

In one of the most talked-about moments of the night, Grimard made contact with #90 Brett McComber, resulting in McComber’s car becoming stuck inside Grimard’s wheel well. The bizarre incident forced a caution and had the crowd buzzing as officials worked to untangle the two machines.

Despite the chaos, Grimard gathered it up and still managed to cross the line first, showing grit and composure under pressure.
