VETERAN PERSISTANCE!

HEAT 2B RECAP – TRICITY RACING SERIES SEASON OPENER Location: Quesnel Goldpan Speedway
Race Format: 12-Lap Heat (Third of the Night)
The action continued at Quesnel Goldpan Speedway as the 2025 Tri-City Racing Series rolled through its opening weekend. Following Saturday night’s rain delay, Sunday delivered clear skies, a dry surface, and intense racing as the field settled into the rhythm of a new season.
In Heat 2B, the fourth heat race of the night, longtime series veteran #9 Lyall McComber reminded everyone why he’s a name to watch. McComber stormed to the win in the 12-lap race, putting on a textbook drive from start to finish.
Backing up his performance, McComber also laid down the fastest qualifying time of the event at 15.579 seconds, proving he had both single-lap speed and race-day consistency.
Heat 2B showcased McComber’s experience and racecraft, as he controlled the pace and held off a hard-charging field to secure his first heat win of the season. It’s a strong start for the veteran, and a sign that he’s gunning for more in 2025.
